Grabbing a bite

Hello :-)

My first official post had to be about food, it just had to be.. I need to first pay homage to the gods of food..

I moved back a few months ago and I immediately started to miss the chippy five blocks down the road from my flat. I found myself craving their yummy chicken tikka burger and vinegar infused fries so i decided to hunt down the best place in Lagos for a burger. I've tried Paris Deli and the food was just ok, I wasn't wowed.

So I randomly remembered good ol' Cactus. Cactus has been standing in that same spot on Ozumba for as long as I can remember and I remembered they had decent food so I decided to give it a try when the boy and I decided to grab lunch one afternoon.

This is what I wore:

Denim Shirt: Primark, Culottes: River Island, Shoes: H&M, Bag: DKNY, Sunglasses: Ray Bans

I ordered their Royal Burger (not sure if thats what it's called as this was about a month back). But it was a regular beef burger with cheese. This was served with fries and a side of coleslaw (pictured below).

I was very impressed with the quality of this burger. The bun was nice and fresh, the burger meat was soft and tasty, seasoned to perfection. The fries were also nice and crisp and the coleslaw was just yummy. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly and it was up to standard.

For dessert, I ordered the Hawaiian. Can I just say that it was BEYOND AMAZING.. OMG..Im dying just thinking of it now. It was a mix of waffle bits, ice cream, whipped cream, fruit and chocolate wafers. Can dessert get any better? It was divine.

I had a great day and I will recommend Cactus over and over again. The burgers cost about 3500 naira and the dessert was about 1800 naira. Pretty decent for such high quality food i'll say!

Peace and Love,

Y.
