NOTW: Christmas Tree Nails

Hi Guys,

I was thinking of a festive manicure to do this week and decided to go with Christmas Tree nails. They are really easy to create and I'll show you how.

How-To

I started off with two coats of my favourite nail polish this season, Sally Hansen's Insta Dri in Rapid Red. I applied a fast dry topcoat and then let the nails dry for about an hour. If you have the time, leave them for a few hours to dry completely.

I then cut up some rectangular strips of scotch tape and placed them over each nail in a V-shape, making sure to press down firmly.

Next I applied a green Beauty Rush polish over the exposed area. I then used a pair of tweezers to peel off the tape one by one. Don't wait for your polish to dry at all if not it will come right off with your tape. Work one finger at a time, before moving on to the next.

I then carefully placed two different glitter polishes on the Christmas trees to look a bit like tree ornaments would. If you have little stars, place them on the top of the trees for even more fabulousity.

These nails are perfect to wear to all the holiday parties you will be attending, you are sure to get some serious nail-envy! Will you be trying it out? If you do, I'd love to see them; please share pictures with me on twitter, @Yewizzy.

Peace and Love,

Y.
